Schauff Landscaping offers a full range of services to keep your home or business looking beautiful all year long. Services can be chosen individually or we can customize a maintenance package to cover all your needs.
Spring Clean-up
After fall and winter, your yard or property can be a wreck. A spring clean up is a great way to get the full potential out of your home or business. We’ll take pride in putting your landscape back into shape by pruning the trees and shrubs, edging bed lines, and spreading fresh colorful mulch. Spring maintenance is usually performed in March and April.
- Plant material is professionally pruned and maintained to the customer’s specifications.
- All beds will be edged to establish a crisp boundary. This will give your landscape a clean finished look and retain your mulch to the bed area preventing washouts.
- Weeds will be removed throughout all beds and weed control will be applied.
- Pre-emergent will be applied to prevent new weeds from germinating.
- All beds will be top-dressed with the homeowner’s choice of mulch. This will give the soil nutrients, retain water, slow weed growth, and give your landscape a colorful new look.
Monthly Bed Maintenance
Bed maintenance is performed six times a year in May – October. This keeps your beds clean and your plants in order leaving your yard looking beautiful all season long. This also gives us a chance to detect insect infestation, disease, and trouble spots in the yard such as poor drainage or bad soil.
- Weeds will be removed and sprayed with roundup weed control.
- Trees and shrubs will be inspected for disease and insect infestation.
- Light pruning will be done on all plant material to encourage maximum growth
- All edges will be trimmed to reestablish some boundary between lawn and bed.
- Some mulch will be turned for proper cultivation.
- Pre-emergent will be applied
Fall Clean-up and Leaf Removal
Leaves and branches can really make a mess during fall, but somebody has to clean it up! Fall clean up and leaf removal is done once or twice a year between November and February. We use high power blowers and vacuums to remove as much debris as possible. In addition all perennials will be trimmed, ornamental grasses will be cut down, and the lawn will be cut and trimmed.
- Leaves and small debris (sticks and branches) will be removed from all turf and bed areas.
- All hard surface areas and window wells will be cleared.
- Perennials, grasses, and bushes will be pruned for the winter.
- All edges will be trimmed to reestablish some boundary between lawn and bed.
- All debris will be removed or taken to a spot of owner’s choice.
- All bed areas will receive pre-emergent to keep spring weeds to a minimum.
